"I am proud that the promises I made on the doors have been the promises I have delivered on in office."
Dear Neighbor,
My name is Jennifer Conlin, and I am your State Representative in Michigan’s House District 48.
As a wife, mother, daughter, caregiver, and lifelong resident of Washtenaw County, I recognize the needs of our community and am committed to finding solutions. Before my time in the House, I had the opportunity to meet people from all over the world and share their stories through my career as a journalist. For more than twelve years, I have been covering Michigan, writing about small businesses, tourism, healthcare, arts and culture, and the economy—uniquely preparing me to navigate complex issues and amplify voices from all perspectives.
My family has long lived in Washtenaw County, with relatives who have served in city, county, and state government. It is an honor to carry on their legacy and give back to a community that has always been and always will be very important to me.
Now, I don't just want to chronicle issues in Michigan; I want to resolve them in Lansing.
As your State Representative, I have worked tirelessly to approve legislation that directly benefits our community. This includes efforts in areas such as the criminal justice system, children's services, gun safety, environmental protection, highways, healthcare, and more. Together, I am determined that we can continue to find solutions to pressing issues and protect the rights of Michiganders.
Let’s continue to make our district and state a more equitable, thriving place to live!
